Sock It To Me

I finished knitting my first sock Friday night. I actually started this one in a class I took last year. I have wanted to knit socks for a long time, but when I didn't finish mine in class I was afraid to complete it on my own. I've been looking at the finished socks on other blogs and was encouraged to finish mine. I have a lot of sock yarn so I can make several pairs using this simple pattern before I try something more complicated. I hope to have the matching sock done along with a second pair by the end of this month. Wish me luck.

I am at exactly the same place as you are with your socks...I didn't take a class, I learned to knit socks on circular needles using Youtube videos by Cat Bourdhi. I also got some help from my LYS. My sock is also on my blog, take a look!

Congratulations on finishing a sock! That is one thing I've never learned to do and I've been knitting all my life! I can't knit (haven't tried) to knit on double pointed needles. I've heard you can knit socks on circular needles. I was wondering how you did yours. I love all the sock yarn I see. It's so soft and pretty. Twyla
