I am not very good on the computer, I need help to learn to do the things I want. I am also trying to take more creative pictures to use on my blogs. I enjoy posting on my blog and looking at many other blogs. I am trying to leave comments often because I know how much it means to me when others leave comments on my blog. My daughters are teaching me but for some reason I am slow at learning this. I can do almost anything if there's a needle involved, but this keyboard is another story. Please be patient with me. I am going to keep trying until I get it right.

Chairs pt. 2

Remember the garage sale chairs that I bought for Brittany's apartment .
I gave them a couple coats of white paint and some new fabric.
Brittany and I are both happy with the results. When we moved her into the apartment, her RA said she was going to have to come and take a closer look, that's how much she loved them!

Pink

Pink has never been one of my favorite colors but recently I find that I am drawn to it. I see so many blogs that focus on things that are pink and pretty. I have been buying and making a lot of things that are pink for Britt's apartment. I even covered her chairs in pink striped fabric.I have also started crocheting an afghan in pink and brown. It started because I wanted to make a retro granny square vest. I needed to buy all the yarn anyway so why not use it up and make the afghan also. It is definitely stepping out of the box for me.

It's been too long since I've been here

I've been very busy working on various projects lately. Every time I get on the computer and look at my favorite craft blogs I am so encouraged to finish things. This does limit the time I can spend on my blogs. I have a lot for show and tell but no pictures yet so I am going to wait until I have more time. I hope to be back tonight or tomorrow.

Time to move on

For as long as I can remember I have been making crafts and selling them at stores and craft fairs. I have had oodles of fun, made some lifelong friends, and learned a lot. The time has come for me to move on from this part of my life. I have enjoyed it but I now want to put my crafting energy to a new use. I have been making things for shelters and community organizations and I'd like to be able to do more. I have so much fabric and other supplies to use and I can't think of a better way to use them. I would also like to have time to make more for my family and friends. I have so many ideas in my head that I could never make everything I want but I am going to try. It is very exciting to me to have the time to do this now.
