The Little Red Bicycle

This is my first time linking up with Lil Vintage Story Books.

I picked The Little Red Bicycle because it reminded me of Bryce and Micah.
.
The story is about a little boy, Stevie and his birthday gift from Grandpa and Grandma.

Stevie receives a red bicycle but he is still too little to reach the pedals.

They put the bicycle in the garage until Stevie's legs grow long enough for him to ride.

Time passes, a whole year goes by. Many things have changed. His sister grows, his puppy grows, even Stevie has grown two whole inches taller! Finally his legs were long enough to reach and...

Thanks for visiting.

Vintage Christmas cards

I found this collection of vintage cards, most from the early 60's a few weeks ago on a road trip with hubby. I was happy to find most were for little boys.  I don't have time to make anything for this Christmas, but I'm looking forward to using these in the coming year. Enjoy!

Joseph's Lullaby

Go to sleep my Son
This manger for your bed
You have a long road before You
Rest Your little head

Can You feel the weight of Your glory?
Do You understand the price?
Or does the Father guard Your heart for now
So You can sleep tonight?

Go to sleep my Son
Go and chase Your dreams
This world can wait for one more moment
Go and sleep in peace

I believe the glory of Heaven
Is lying in my arms tonight
Lord, I ask that He for just this moment
Simply be my child

Go to sleep my Son
Baby, close Your eyes
Soon enough You'll save the day
But for now, dear Child of mine
Oh my Jesus, Sleep tight

Rug finishing

I was able to finish "punching"my Christmas rug earlier this week. I don't remember where the pattern is from, I started it so long ago. Almost all the wool is from Kindred Spirits and the fabric was purchased at a quilt show many years ago. I had wanted to do traditional rug hooker but didn't like it. Then I discovered I could use a punch and wool yarn to make my rugs. This is the fourth one I've made.
