String Quilts

I spent most of today making string quilt blocks. It was so much fun. I used reproduction feed sack fabric and cut the strips various sizes. I made eight 12 inch blocks with batting and four 10.5 inch blocks without batting. The quilted blocks will be made into a quilt to give to Love, Inc. and the smaller blocks are for a table topper for Brittany's apartment at school. These blocks work up so quickly. I should be able to finish both projects without buying anything. I am thinking I can make a few more with all the homespun scraps I have in the attic.

How come everything that you buy or make these days is for Brittany or Amanda. You have 3 daughters!!!

Those string blocks turned out really cute. I have some 30's repros - maybe that is what should come of them!
