This is a photo of my favorite scissors. I won them many years ago. The fob was one of the first bead projects I made.

I joined the ladies stitching this sampler from Blackbird Designs. I haven't decided how I am going to finish it. I think it would look very nice on my dresser. Maybe a simple fabric sewn on the back with a small border.

Vintage Friday

This weeks Vintage Friday was a gift from my friend Jen. She found these dress patterns at an estate sale last weekend. I have not seen any of these since the 60's. My grandma would buy them at Zayre's and sew them up for me. Sometimes she would add trims, but most of the time I was in such a hurry to get them that she just did the basic sewing. If this panel was larger I could make a bag from it. I think the only thing to do is make the dresses. If you have any ideas let me know.

Another model

I stitched this piece from The Sampler Girl as a model for my local shop. It is simply finished as a pillow. I would like to make another one in a smaller count and make it into a pincushion.
