Vintage Friday

I love this hand crocheted apron. Jen bought it for me at a thrift store in Michigan. it is very small and delicate. It is a beautiful example of handwork.

Another finish

Another finished project by Blackbird Designs. I made this as a model for a local cross stitch store. I used the linen and fibers called for. I was even able to fill it with crushed walnut shells that I picked up last year at Quilt Festival. I am very happy with the results and I am looking forward to bringing it home in the future.

Sewing Box

I finished this Blackbird Design earlier this month but because it is a gift I had to wait to post it. I don't know the name of the fabric, it came from my stash, the thread is a Wildflower, also from my stash. I finished it into a box using the instructions in the pattern. It is intended to be a sewing box for my friend Barb to keep at her son's house to use when she visits.

Snowman

I finished stitching this snowman this morning. It is the tenth ornament from this series that I have made. I have two more to go and them I am finished, I think. There are several more in the series but I don't know what to do with them once I've finished stitching them. I am making them into ornaments,but I am trying to come up with a new way to display them next winter. I cannot have another tree, I need something different. I have some time to think about it, meanwhile I will finish the last two.
